2003-2004  Lombard Lions Awards Dinner  June 2, 2004

The following awards were presented by incoming President Lion Ernie at the Awards dinner held at the Bloomingdale Country Club.

Lion of the Year

This award was presented to Lion Paul Friedrichs in Recognition of Outstanding Service, Loyalty and Devotion to Lionism. His willingness to serve as an officer on the board for the past five years has won him the honor and respect of his fellow Lions

President Award

This award was presented to Lion Dominic Pulice for his efforts and success of the "Show Your Love" Calendar Raffle

Achievement Award

When it comes to the  Candy Day Project, this Lion consistently doesn't let anything get in his way when it comes to corporate underwriting.  For beating us all in this phase of the project and exceeding $700 in funds raised, the 2003 Candy Days Achievement Award for Corporate Underwriting is presented to Lion Pulice.

Candyman Can Award

This year's recipient kept the Candy Day program alive the many years that he was the chairperson and in doing so, allowed it to become what it is today, the largest and most profitable funraiser. This testimonial of appreciation is awarded to Stephen R. Wilk in recognition of his consistent dedication and distinguished service to the Candy Days project

Lion Ernie Turcotte received the Chairman's Award for Candy Day 2003 from Secretary Lion Paul Friedrichs

Appreciation Award for Candy Day:

 Lion Steve Kudulis recevied an Appreciation Award for raising $1700.00 for Candy Day.

Appreciation Award

An Appreciation Award was presented to the Lombard Lions Webmaster, Scott Tobey, for his work on getting the website up and running.

Appreciation Award

Lion Franklin Hammerschmidt, our treasurer
emeritus, was presented with an Appreciation Award  by the Lombard Lions Club Board  for his many years of service in consulting our financial affairs with our current treasurer.
 

Appreciation to Lois Defenbau for her help with the  Calendar raffle and Brat Stand.

Appreciation to Pam Pulice for her help with the Candy Day Appreciation Dinner

Appreciation to Gloria Tobey for her help with Brat Stand and as Assistant Webmaster

Appreciation to Joan Turcotte for being the best dressed Lion for three years.

Appreciation to Helga Wilk for her work as Candy Day volunteer coordinator.
